Nicholas Meriwether, Ph.D., will present this seminar. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, this talk takes a close look at the Declaration of Independence’s most famous sentence. It asks what “self-evident” really means, whether the founders believed rights come from God, and why “created equal” still matters. The session explores the deeper meaning of these ideas and why they remain central to who we are as a people.
